From a Clubhouse on Elliewood to NYC

How Amanda Coombs found her way.

Last semester, Amanda Coombs made what she considers the best decision of her undergraduate career when she applied to HackCville’s education program, Rethink. The program opened up a new world of opportunities she didn’t even know existed, including her New York City summer internship with DreamWakers, an education nonprofit. Inspired by coursework in Rethink and her experience with DreamWakers, Amanda decided to switch her majors and traject her academic pursuits towards her newly-discovered passion: education innovation.
