Explore Digital Storytelling in

An immersive, 10-week program hosted by HackCville

"Getting to know the people in the community has been by far the best aspect of my time at HackCville. It is motivating and inspiring to be surrounded by those who are constantly hustling while also trying to innovate in whatever they are doing."
- Tyler Wagner, HackCville Member

Learn to tell great stories

Storyboard is a 10-week long program designed for students interested in learning and developing the skills involved in digital storytelling. This program guides students through the world of digital media, exposing them to different professional fields through fun, hands-on projects.

Throughout the program, you'll get access to our media studio. You'll learn how to use all of our equipment: tons of camera gear (DSLRs, GoPros, a drone, and more) as well as Adobe Premiere.

Publish your work to The Pioneer

Students will get to publish their work to The Pioneer, HackCville's in-house publication. HackCville will also create an online portfolio for all Storyboard students and the work they complete during the program.

"I loved having a community I felt connected to. Having the houses available to just hangout in and having access to tons of cool opportunities was incredible. "
- Sami Strohm, HackCville Member
"There are a lot of different programs at HackCville, so at least one of them is likely to pique your interest and help you develop skills in an area where you might not be able to or have the resources to explore it at UVa. "
- Rawan Abdelrahman, HackCville Member
